NEW YORK, N.Y.- The Dowling College men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the CCNY Cross Country Collegiate Classic this afternoon.
Both the men and the women recorded an 11
th place finish.
Senior
Robert Mullen was the top finisher for the Golden Lions, completing the 8k course with a time of 28:55.8, while senior
Marissa Schoeps led the way on the women’s side, finishing the 5k course with a time of 25:36.9 coming in 7
th out of 144 participants.
Following behind Mullen were sophomore
Vichinsky Elien with a time of 30:03.3, Idelfonso Cosma with a time of 35:34.6, Michael Goldstein at 36:09.9 and
Jonathan Singh with a time of 37:20.3.
On the women’s side, following in behind Schoeps was sophomore
Erin Smith with a time of 30:15.8, while
Jackie Andersen and
Brie Ament finished at 31:54.7 and 35:32.6, respectively.
Ashley Firestone finished the course at 36:39.3.
Dowling will return to action on October 18th when the Golden Lions compete at the St. Joseph’s Invitational.
