NEW YORK, N.Y.- The Dowling College men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the CCNY Cross Country Collegiate Classic this afternoon.
 
Both the men and the women recorded an 11^th place finish.
 
Senior Robert Mullen was the top finisher for the Golden Lions, completing the 8k course with a time of 28:55.8, while senior Marissa Schoeps led the way on the women’s side, finishing the 5k course with a time of 25:36.9 coming in 7^th out of 144 participants.
 
Following behind Mullen were sophomore Vichinsky Elien with a time of 30:03.3, Idelfonso Cosma with a time of 35:34.6, Michael Goldstein at 36:09.9 and Jonathan Singh with a time of 37:20.3.
 
On the women’s side, following in behind Schoeps was sophomore Erin Smith with a time of 30:15.8, while Jackie Andersen and Brie Ament finished at 31:54.7 and 35:32.6, respectively. Ashley Firestone finished the course at 36:39.3.
 
Dowling will return to action on October 18th when the Golden Lions compete at the St. Joseph’s Invitational.
