FLILLER AND HULSE TOP THE LIST FOR THE GOLDEN LIONS
Brookville, NY- The Men’s and Women’s Cross Country team competed in the C.W. Post Invitational on Saturday.
8 Men’s teams and 6 Women’s teams raced on the day with the C.W. Post finishing first overall on the men’s side and Molloy College captured the top spot overall for the women. Vincent Giambanco (Muttontown, N.Y.) was the first runner to cross the line out of a field of 61 runners, finishing the 8k course with a time of 28:37.59. C.W. Post senior captain Kristen Sweeney (Kennebunk, Maine) was the first harrier to cross the line out of 59 competitors for the women, completing the 5k race in 20 minutes and 57 seconds.
Junior
Dennis Fliller (Rocky Point, NY) led the way for the Golden Lions on the Men’s side as he finished in 31:52:08 (29th Overall). The Women’s team was led by
Lauren Hulse (Moriches, NY) who finished 5th with a 21:58:24.
The Cross Country Team will next run in the NYIT Invitational on September 19th.
