WEST HAVEN, CONN.- The Dowling College volleyball team placed two Golden Lions on the Daktronics NCAA Division II East Region All-Region Teams. Junior
Jessica Kalbfleisch was named to the First Team with junior
Kayla Dillman earning Second Team honors.
Kalbfleisch earned a spot on the First Team after leading the Golden Lions with 380 kills and 3.76 kills per set. The All-Conference selection finished the season with a career high 369 digs and 18 double doubles. The outside hitter finished in the top five of the ECC in kills, kills per set, total attempts, points and points per set.
Dillman, ECC Setter of the Year, lead the ECC with 877 assists on the season. In addition, her assist per set total of 10.83 is more than 1.5 assist ahead of the next highest total in the ECC and ranks her 25th nationally across all of Division II.
Sports information directors from NCAA Division II East Region schools and conferences selected the two Daktronics All-Region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced in December. This is the ninth year Daktronics, Inc. has sponsored the NCAA Division II Volleyball All-Region and All-American teams.
