OAKDALE, N.Y.- The Dowling College volleyball team won their third straight match with a 3-1 victory over LIU Post this evening at Dowling Gymnasium. The Golden Lions jump to 15-8 on the season with a 9-3 record in East Coast Conference play. The Pioneers fall to 13-11 overall, 8-4 ECC.
The Golden Lions came out hot taking the opening set by the largest margin of the night 25-13. LIU Post bounced back taking set two 25-20 before Dowling retook the match lead with a 25-23 win in the third set. A tightly played fourth set saw eight lead changes and 16 tied scores that ultimately went in favor of the Golden Lions 29-27 giving them the 3-1 win.

Kayla Dillman handed out a match high 42 assists with junior
Jessica Kalbfleisch finishing with a team high 16 digs.
Leading LIU Post was Danielle Valenza with 16 kills and Melissa Hansen added 15. Setters Lulu Centro and Monica Amador recorded 22 assists apiece. Libero Rachel Ringor and Analise Austin each provided 16 digs for the Pioneers.
The Golden Lions continue their home stand as they host Queens College Thursday, October 23
