OAKDALE, N.Y.-  The Dowling College volleyball team pushed their win streak to four straight with a 3-0 win over American International College this evening at Dowling Gymnasium. The Golden Lions improve to 11-7 on the season as the Yellow Jackets drop to 4-14.
 
After falling behind 6-1 early in the opening set, the Golden Lions came back using a 7-0 run to go ahead 18-16 and take the set 25-18.  Set two was played close through the opening points, but five unanswered points put DC ahead 18-12 and the cruised to a 25-19 set win.  In the third set, the Golden Lions grabbed an early lead and put the game out of reach as they finished by a score of 25-16 completing the three game sweep.
 
Leading the Golden Lions was sophomore Katarzyna Klocek with a match high 14 kills hitting at a .462 clip. Junior Jessica Kalbfleisch recorded a double double with 11 kills and 12 digs with junior setter Kayla Dillman dishing off 34 assists.   Junior libero Kayla Morgan finished with a match high 18 digs as seniors Cassy Kelly and Nicole Parkas each recorded nine. 
 
AIC was lead by Baily Sawn with seven kills as Phoebe Lettington added six.  Setter Vanessa Ruiz tossed up 24 assists and libero Mercy Rivera tallied 16 digs.
 
 The Golden Lions return to Dowling Gymnasium as they host the University of Bridgeport Tuesday, October 14^th at 7:00 PM.
