VOLLEYBALL SHUTS DOWN MOLLOY, 3-0

ROCKVILLE CTR., N.Y.- The Dowling College volleyball team traveled to Molloy College and came away with their third straight sweep this evening at Quealy Gymnasium. The Golden Lions improve to 11-7 on the season, 6-2 in East Coast Conference play. Molloy falls to 7-10 overall, 2-5 ECC.

The Golden Lions lead by as many as six early in set one, but Molloy came back and using four unanswered points to tie the game at 16. Following a timeout, Dowling went on a 5-0 run and came away with the 25-20 win. The Golden Lions fell behind early in set two, however, using a strong finish they came back for a 25-21 win and a 2-0 match lead. Dowling hit .400 as a team in the third set and completed the sweep with a 25-23 win.

Junior Jessica Kalbfleisch recorded her 11^th double double of the season with 14 kills and 16 digs. Sophomore Katarzyna Klocek finished with 11 kills hitting .409 and three blocks. Junior setter Kayla Dillman tallied a match high 43 assists with junior libero Kayla Morgan scooping up 17 digs.

Molloy was led by Danielle Williams with 14 kills. Setter Aly DeKruyf recorded 25 assists while picking up ten digs. Libero Samira Escobar finished with 15 digs.

The Golden Lions take to their home court for the first time this season as they host American International College Friday, October 10^th. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
