Box Score DOBBS FERRY, N.Y.- The Dowling College volleyball team completed a three set sweep of Mercy College this evening at Mercy Gymnasium. The Golden Lions improve to 9-7 overall, 4-2 in East Coast Conference play. The Mavericks fall to 3-11, 0-5 ECC.
Dowling took set one my the largest margin of the night, 25-14 before taking a 2-0 lead with a 25-16 win in set two. The Golden Lions completed the sweep with a 25-18 win in the third set behind a .484 team hitting percentage.
Senior
Cassy Kelly led the Golden Lions with ten kills with a .385 hitting percentage. Sophomore
Katarzyna Klocek added eight kills with four block assists. Junior setter
Kayla Dillman recorded 24 assists with junior libero finishing with a match high 21 digs.
The Mavericks were led by Brenna White with ten kills and nine digs. Setter McKenna tallied 20 assists with Floriana Rraci recording ten digs.
Next up for the Golden Lions is the New York Institute of Technology Thursday, October 2
nd. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
