Box Score BROOKVILLE, N.Y.- The Dowling College volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to LIU Post this evening. Both teams now sit at 7-6 on the season and 2-2 in East Coast Conference play.
The Pioneers opened the match with a 25-21 win before extra points were needed to decide the second set 27-25. LIU completed the match win with a 25-17 win in the third set.
The Golden Lions were led by junior
Jessica Kalbfleisch with 14 kills and a .321 hitting percentage. She recorded eighth double double of the season with ten digs. Junior setter
Kayla Dillman dished 32 assists and junior libero
Kayla Morgan posted a match high 20 digs.
Leading the Pioneers was Danielle Valenza with 15 kills. Sharing the setting duties were Lulu Centro and Monica Amador with 19 and 17 assists respectively. Rachel Ringor had a team high 17 digs.
The Golden Lions continue ECC play Thursday, September 25
th as they travel to Queens College. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
