ROCHESTER, N.Y.- Three Golden Lions recorded double digit kills at the Dowling College volleyball team came away with a 3-1 East Coast Conference win over Roberts Wesleyan College this afternoon.  The Golden Lions jump to 7-5 on the season, 2-1 in ECC play as the Red Hawks even out at 5-5 overall, 1-2 ECC.
The Golden Lions opened the match with a close 25-23 set one with before dropping the second set 25-17.  Dowling bounce backed with a 27-25 set three win and claimed the mack with a 25-17 win in the fourth set.
Junior Jessica Kalbfleisch finished with a team high 13 kills and recorded her second double double in as many days with 11 digs.  Senior Cassy Kelly added 12 kills hitting at a .258 clip with Katarzyna Klocek rounding out the top scorers with 11 kills.  Senior Elizabeth Gorman came away with 44 assists with junior libero Kayla Morgan with a match high 14 digs.
The Golden Lions finished with 7.5 total blocks with Yarden Amsalem and Gorman recording four block assists apiece. 
The Roberts Wesleyan had four Red Hawks finish with double figure kills as Kendall Havener recorded a match high 16.  Courtney Taylor and Jordan Wilson both finished with 14 kills and Judy Schultz totaled 11.  Maggie Concannon tossed up 51 assists with Olivia Zureck scooping up 11 digs.
The Golden Lions continue ECC play as they travel to face LIU Post Tuesday, September 23rd at 7:00 PM.
