SHIRLEY, N.Y.- The Dowling College women’s lacrosse team participated in a community awareness event at a local Pathmark in Shirley, N.Y.

Members of the team helped out store employees with the distribution of free samples and flowers while others provided free face painting for children.  “It was a great opportunity to get out and help the community that we call home,” stated sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Young.  “Everyone had a great time and getting to interact with kids and teaching them some larcross.”  The Golden Lions also demonstrated their stick skills and gave others an opportunity to try.
