BALTIMORE, MD.-
Dowling College senior attack Jackie Andersen has been selected as Lacrosse Magazine’s 2015 NCAA Division II Preseason Player of the Year, as announced Friday.

Andersen, a three-time All-Conference First Team selection, led the ECC with 65 goals a season ago. She also placed second in the conference with 49 assists and 114 points. Her goal, assist, and point totals were all ranked in the top-10 in Division II and she finished second in the nation with 6.33 points per game. Andersen’s outstanding season also earned her a spot on the IWLCA All-America First Team.

The senior enters this season 25 goals shy of surpassing 2011 graduate Cassandra Cronin and becoming Dowling College’s All Time leading goal scorer.
