Melissa Guglielmo – 2015 Women’s Lacrosse
2013 Season: Melissa started in all 17 games she played in 2013. She allowed only 10 goals against and lead the conference in goals against average and save percentage. Melissa opened the season by winning Defensive Player of the Week two times in a row.
2012 Season: Started 17 out of her 18 games played…recorded 5 shutouts and 55 saves…. She led the ECC in goals against with 12 and goals against average with a .707. She came in third with a .821 save percentage. In the ECC tournament final Melissa recorded a career high eight saves. She was named the Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player…. She was named ECC Player of the Week twice.
2011 Season: Played in 18 games for the Golden Lions and recorded 7 shutouts with a .96 GAA…was named Rookie of the Week multiple times
Previous School: Graduated from West Babylon High School in 2011 where she played soccer, winter track, and lacrosse. Melissa earned All-County honors in soccer, as well as All-League honors in Lacrosse while being named the ‘Unsung Hero’ of the team.
Academics: Melissa is majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Coaching.
Community/Life: Hopes to become a police officer/detective… Participated in Keep Islip Clean and Making Stride Against Breast Cancer walk… Volunteered for Make-A-Wish.
