KINGS PARK, N.Y.- Senior
Scott Litts posted a First Place finish out of 224 runners at the St. Joseph’s College Invitational this weekend at Sunken Meadow State Park.
Litts led the Golden Lions, completing the 8k course with a time of 26:50.0, while senior
Marissa Schoeps led the way on the women’s side, finishing the 5k course with a time of 22:48.9 coming in 36
th out of 230 participants.
Following behind Litts were senior
Robert Mullen with a time of 28:36.0, vichinsky Elien with a time of 32:29.0, Idelfonson Cosma at 37:59.0 and
Jonathan Singh with a time of 41:18.0. As a team, the Golden Lions finished 15
th out of 29 teams.
On the women’s side, following in behind Schoeps was sophomore
Erin Smith with a time of 25:45.99, while
Jackie Andersen and
Brie Ament finished at 26:21.08 and 29:54.47, respectively.
Ashley Firestone finished the course at 30:52.3.
Dowling will return to action November 8
th when the Golden Lions compete at the East Coast Conference Championships.
