CROSS COUNTRY’S SCOTT LITTS FINISHES FIRST AT LIU INVITATIONAL
– Both the men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the LIU Post Invitational Race this afternoon. The men finished eigth overall out of a field of 17 teams and the women finished eigth as well out of 20 teams.
Sophomore runner Scott Litts
crossed the 8K finish line first out of 167 runners with a time of 26:01, nine seconds ahead of St. Thomas Aquinas’ Michael Galonski’s second place finish. Next to finish for the Golden Lions was Jon Cuomo with a time of 27:50. Robert Mullen
was third for DC 29:28 followed shortly by Terence Mcelhatton at 30:25. Rounding out the raced was Michael Milteer
at 31:36 and Michael Pessalano
finishing with a time of 34:31.
Junior Alyssa Ligouri posted a third overall finish out of 184 runners with a time of 19:24. Marisa Schoeps was next to finish at 20:56 with Annie Vincenti
crossing the line at 21:48. Brittany Hohwald
and Amanda Hartman
closed out the 5K race at 22:21 and 24:00 respectively.
Cross Country races next at the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University September 28th.
