MEN’S AND WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY PLACE FOURTH IN ECC PRESEASON POLL
Central islip, N.Y.- The Golden Lion Cross Country teams, both men and women, earned the number four spot out of nine teams in the East Coast Conference Preseason Poll.
In 2012, Head Coach Mike Marrone and the Dowling College men’s cross country team will look to improve on their fifth place finish at the East Coast Conference Championship. The 2011 ECC Rookie of the Year Scott Litts returns with a veteran team of seven returners.
The Golden Lions return both ECC First Team All-Conference selections Alyssa Ligouri, and Marissa Schoeps in hopes to improve on their 2011 ECC Championship third place finish. The duo finished the championships in fourth and fifth place respectively. Head Coach Mike Marrone will look to his four returners to help guide his two newcomers for a successful 2012 season.
Both teams kick of 2012 at the Fordham Fiasco on Sept. 8th.
