MEN’S TENNIS SLOTTED PRESEASON NO. 6

Central Islip, N.Y.- The Dowling College men’s tennis team has earned a No. 6 spot in the East Coast Conference Preseason Poll.

New head coach Joe Papleo and the men’s tennis team are looking to improve from their 6-8 2012 season.  Senior Sardorja Mamadjanov will lead the Golden Lions in his final season hoping to better his 9-2 year. He will be joined by returners Fransico Del Castillo, Justin Skidmore and Adam Kliti along with a new batch of Golden Lions looking for a successful 2013 season.

After three consecutive ECC Championships and four straight appearances in the NCAA Round of 16, the Queens College men’s tennis team has been selected as the favorite to capture another ECC title in 2013. Andre Pellegrino, a junior at Queens, has been selected by the conference’s coaches as the Preseason Player of the Year.
