Box Score WEST HAVEN, N.Y.- Dowling’s
Amber Pindulic scored twice leading the Dowling College women’s soccer team to a 4-2 win over the University of New Haven this afternoon. The Golden Lions improve to 1-2-0 on the season with the Chargers moving to 1-2-0.
The Chargers were first on the board when Courtney Marra found Amber Simms in the 24
th minute of play. The Golden Lions put four shots on net, but UNH’s goalkeeper Moriah Saidel held her line sending the Chargers into the break leading 1-0.
Just minutes into the second half, Pindulic knotted that game one with her first goal of the afternoon. Just under five minutes later,
Lindsey Thompson connected with Pindulic as she drilled her second goal giving the Golden Lions a 2-1 advantage. The lead was short lived as New Haven’s Marra and Marisa Garcia combined to even the score at 2.
Dayna Galli put in the eventual game winner in the 71
st minute before
Taylor Davide put the game out of reach with her first goal of the season.
The Golden Lions held a 15-11 shot advantage over the Chargers with both teams having two corner kicks. Dowling goalkeeper
Melissa Guglielmo recorded four saves with UNH’s Saidel finishing with six.

th as they travel to face Philadelphia University at 4:00 PM.
