GOLF PLACES SECOND AT ST. ROSE SHOOTOUT

GUILDERLAND, N.Y.-  The Golden Lions finished tied for Second place at the Saint Rose Fall Shootout on Friday and Saturday at the Pinehaven Country Club par-71; 6,574-yard course.

Dowling recorded a Day 1 team score of 309, led by Brandon Moore with a 75, Kurt Brey with 76, and Petter Lehmann with a 78. After Friday’s play, the Golden Lions were in 3rd place; 12 shots behind LeMoyne College (297), and 2 behind Sage College (307).

On Day 2, the Golden Lions remained consistent and posted another team score of 309. A 74 from Kurt Brey and a 76 from Brandon Romano helped guide the team to the second place finish. LeMoyne took home 1st place honors, Franklin Pierce tied for 2nd with Dowling, Bentley in 4th, and Sage College rounded out the top 5.

The Golden Lions return to the course October 20th-21st as they head to the Adelphi / STAC Intercollegiate at Port Jefferson Country Club.
