GOLF COMPETES AT SEPTEMBER SHOOTOUT

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
OAKDALE, N.Y.- Dowling’s Petter Lehmann led the Dowling College golf team with a First Place finish in the Dowling September Shootout at Tall Grass Golf Course this weekend. In their first tournament of the year, the Golden Lions recorded a team score of 628 for a 10th Place finish.
Lehmann finished 3 under par after his round on day one of the tournament and with Nyack College’s Matthew Yun coming in with a strong showing on day two, the duo found themselves neck and neck coming down the stretch. Lehmann, on the final hole forced a playoff and both ended with a two day total of 141 and share of the top spot.
Dowling’s George Taylor finished his tournament with a final score of 154 and tied for 26th. Brian Allmendiger and Shaun Bauer recorded scores of 136 and 170 respectively.
Lemoyne College took home the team trophy with a final score of 588. Farmingdale State were runners up shooting a 599 with Nyack rounding out the top scorers with a 600.
