Allendale, MI – Dowling College golfer, Kurt Brey wrapped up play at the NCAA Division II National Championship on the campus of Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan at The Meadows, on Wednesday, May 21. Brey posted a final round of four over par, which placed him in a tie for 63rd with a three round total of 229 (81-73-75).

After Brey shot a team best 70 on the opening day of the 2014 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional tournament and followed with a 71 and a 73, he became the first Golden Lions to advance to the NCAA National Championship in program history.

His play throughout the season earned him Division II PING All-Region honors announced by the GCAA earlier this week.  A total of 106 players across eight regions – East, Atlantic, Southeast, South, Midwest, South Central, Central and West – earned all-region honors for 2014.
