Sayville, N.Y.-  The Dowling College men’s golf team returned to the course this past week at the St. Joseph’s Long Island Intercollegiate Tournament held at Island Hills Country Club in Sayville.

Anthony Corsi and Kurt Brey led the pack on day 1 by each firing a 1-under par 70. Jake Farley and Brandon Moore also contributed with a 76 and 77 respectively. The Golden Lions held the 1st place position with shooting a season low, 293.

On day 2, Dowling played strong yet again. Anthony Corsi‘s 72 led the way, and also earned him 1st place individual honors. Kurt Brey‘s 75, Brandon Romano‘s 76, and Brandon Moore‘s 77 rounded out a second day total of 300.

The Golden Lions took home the 1st place trophy with a 2-day score of 593. With the win, dowling secured a berth in the postseason.

The team now will head to the NCAA Super Regional held in Wheeling, WV from May 5th-7th.
