GOLF FINISHES FIFTH AT BEAR TRAP DUNES INVITATIONAL
OCEAN VIEW, Del. – Led by senior Kurt Brey, the Dowling College golf finished fifth out of eight teams during the two-day Bear Trap Dunes Invitational.
Brey tied for 13 among 51 players with an eleven-over-par 155. He turned in an opening round 80 and improved that by five strokes on Sunday.
Junior Brandon Moore finished tied for 22nd with a 158 final score posting an 81 one day one before dropping four strokes for a 77 on the final day.
Newcomer Petter Lehmann rounded put Dowling’s top finishers also tied for 22nd with a 158 total score recorded a 79 on both days of the tournament.
Wilmington University finished first in the team standings with a 608 overall score. Bentley Universty and Nyack College rounded out the top three with a 615 and 619 finish respectively. The Golden Lions recorded a 636 (322-314) final score.
