Meshach Tinglin, a 6’1" junior defender from Portomore, Jamaica, had an outstanding 2006 season for the Dowling College Golden Lions. His performance earned him the honor of Daktronics First Team All-America.
Tinglin, a fierce and aggressive defender, was an integral part of the Golden Lions’ defense that allowed only 7 goals and shut out 14 different opponents during the regular season. His play was an important part of Dowling finishing the season 22-0-2 and bringing home the first National Championship in school history.
