CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y.- For the second time this season, senior
Darien Davis of the men’s basketball team was named East Coast Conference Player of the week for his efforts on the court.
Davis led the Golden Lions to a 2-0 week averaging 36.5 points per game on 67.4 percent (29-for-43) from the floor. Davis also added 6.0 rebounds per game, 4.0 assists per game, and 2.5 steals per game. Against NYIT, Davis finished with 36 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals. He followed that with an ECC season-high 37 point performance against Adelphi, while also grabbing seven rebounds. Davis shot 50 percent from three-point range as well, hitting 4-of-8 from long range in both games.
The Golden Lions return to action following the winter break as they hit the road to face Daemen College January 9th.
