CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y.-  Tristan Brown of the Dowling College men’s basketball team was named East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for his efforts on the court last week.
 
Brown helped the Golden Lions to a 1-1 week averaging 14 points per game while adding 11 assists, six steals and four rebounds. In Dowling’s first win of the season the freshman was on the court for all 40 minutes and provided 15 points, 77.8% from the floor, five assists and five assists.  Earlier in the week against Bloomfield, he added 13 points, six assists and four steals.
