ROCHESTER, N.Y.-  Sophomore Ryan Hickey records 20 points to lead the Dowling College men’s basketball team to a 72-70 win over Roberts Wesleyan College this afternoon at the Voller Athletic Center.  The Golden Lions improve to 6-7 on the season, 4-2 in East Coast Conference play.   The Red Hawks drop to 6-5 on the season, 2-3 ECC.
 
Freshman Tristan Brown finished in double digits with 13 points, four steals and three assists.  Senior Darien Davis came away with 11 points with six rebounds and three steals.
 
The Red Hawks were led by Marcus Gooding with 23 points.  Kevin Madiamba and Issac Medeiros finished in double figures with 13 and 11 points respectively. 
 
In a game where neither side built a lead into double figures, the Golden Lions finished shooting 41%, 25-61, with the Red Hawks coming with a 40.9% from the field, 27-66.  Dowling was held to just 23.5%, 4-17, from long range as RWC knocked down 39.3%, 11-28.  The Golden Lions dominated the paint with 38 points while holding Roberts Wesleyan to 24.
 
The Golden Lions hit the road again as they travel to take on the University of the District of Columbia Saturday, January 17^th.  Game time is set for 3:00 PM.
