Jon Nessa
Jon Nessa, a 6’2" defender from Stavanger, Norway, was a key component to the success the Men’s Soccer team achieved during their 2006 National Championship season.

Nessa was a two year starter in the Golden Lions backfield. In 2006, Nessa anchored the Golden Lions’ defense, starting 13 games and helping to hold opponents to 13 shots on goal in 17 games. Dowling’s defense gave up only 7 goals during the regular season and shut out 14 different opponents.

Jon received many honors during his time as a Golden Lion including ECC All-Conference First Team, NSCAA Northeast All-Region Team, and the Daktronics Division II Men’s Soccer All-America First Team after helping to lead his team to a National Championship.
