Jennifer arrived at Dowling in 1989 from Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, and would enjoy success inside and outside of the athletic field. In the classroom, she was a member of the Dean’s List all 4 years while pursuing a B.S. in aeronautics. On the playing field, she competed in softball and basketball, but left her legacy on the volleyball court as an outside hitter.
Her accomplishments were numerous. She was a 4-year captain of the team. In 1990, Jenny was named New York Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year. She was selected to the 1st Team All Conference for the NYCAC 2 years in a row from 1990-91. In 1992, she was named Co-MVP of the NYCAC and was also selected as All-Northeast Region by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA). In 1991, she led Dowling with 260 digs and 362 kills. She qualifies for many all-time single-match and single-season records at Dowling College. Jenny registered 27 kills on two occasions, once in 1991 and the other in 1992. She is tied for the most digs in a single match when she recorded 34 against Post on Nov. 9, 1991. Jenny also drilled 10 service aces in Nov. 2, 1991 versus Post. For a single season, she had 468 kills in 1992.
In basketball, she averaged 2.2 ppg, 3.2 rpg, 2.2 apg, and blocked 4 shots in only 13 games in 1989-90.
After graduating in 1992, Jenny continued her education by pursuing her M.B.A in Aviation Management. She did an internship at Paine Field in Everett, WA, and soon became an operations assistant at Paine Field. Not long after, she was hired as an Operations Coordinator at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Currently, Jennifer is a supervisor in the Sea-Tac Airport Communicatons Center, where she performs 911 Fire and Medical dispatching, operates the train system, does gate scheduling, airport paging, and maintenance dispatching.
Jennifer was married last summer to Sevilla, whom she met 5 years ago. She currently lives in Vashon Island, WA
