• Dowling Gymnasium is located on SJU Eastern Long Island Campus in Oakdale, NY, less than a mile from Dowling College’s Rudolph Campus. The Dowling Volleyball and Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams call Dowling Gymnasium home.
• Dowling Gymnasium includes one full-size basketball and volleyball court, with permanent seating for 800, an athletic training room, coach’s offices, and recruiting lounges.
• Renovations have been done to make the facility state of the art and enhance the experience of both visiting and home teams. A study hall room, video room, and laundry facilities have been added.
• The study hall room, which includes wireless internet access, is a quiet area for up to 50 student athletes to focus on their studies.
• The video room features state of the art video equipment and a wide screen high definition television, where student-athletes and coaches can study game film.
• Four locker rooms have been refurbished, including the installation of new wood lockers for increased comfort and ease of use.
• The facility also contains the recently opened Varsity Weight Room, available to members of all 16 Dowling College varsity athletic teams. The Weight Room consists of numerous multi-use machines and free weights to cater to any training program.
