Colin "CJ" Leary of Bay Shore, NY is the first Golden Lion to become a three time All-American. He began his career at Dowling at the top. As a freshman he was ranked third on the team with 25 goals and 10 assists earning NYCAC Rookie of the Year.

Continuing his success in 2005, the 6’1" midfielder netted 26 goals and 10 assists. He was named Division II ECAC Player of the Week for March 29, 2005 for leading the Golden Lions with 5 goals in an 18-8 victory over Merrimack. He also garnished NYCAC Player of the Week honors for netting 3 goals and 2 assists in Dowling’s first ever victory over Adelphi. Leary garnered STX Geico All-American Honorable Mention and NYCAC First Team All-Conference for his outstanding season.

CJ had a record-breaking season in 2006 tallying 27 goals and 14 assists. He helped Dowling to their first ever win over NYIT as he fired in four goals and an assist. Leary netted two goals against Mercyhurst in the Final Four game ot send the Golden Lions to their first ever National Championship game. CJ earned First Team All-NYCAC and First Team All-America honors for his standout season and was selected as an ECAC All-Star.

In his final season in the Navy and Gold, Leary led the team to an 8-4 record and was third on the team with 22 goals, including two game winning tallies. He finished the year with a four goal performance against C.W. Post to net his 100th career goal and hold his spot in the Dowling College record books.
