Jessica Kalbfleisch earned volleyball Rookie of the Week and sophomore
Scott Litts was named men’s cross counrty Runner of the Week.
Kalbfleisch tallied 59 kills this week for the Golden Lions averaging 3.47 kills per set. She posted also 17 digs and six total blocks. In a match with the University of New Haven she led DC with 18 kills and against Adelphi University she had a career high 21 kills to lead the Golden Lions to a 3-2 win. Her .444 hitting percentage and 15 kills guided Dowling to a 3-1 win over Georgian
Court.
Litts registered a time of 26:21 to place 45th at the Paul Short Invitational. Litts’ time and place in the 8K were the top marks of any runner from the five ECC schools that competed in the meet.
