Transferring to Dowling in 2003 from Sacred Heart University, Bryan Campo of Seaford, NY quickly made an impact on the Golden Lions’ squad. He made 210 saves between the pipes and allowed only 84 goals his first season and led the nation with a .714 save percentage. Campo was named both NYCAC and ECAC Goalkeeper of the Week and was placed on the All-NYCAC Second Team. Bryan also garnered his first of two All-American Awards as he tabbed USILA All-American Honorable Mention.

In 2004, Campo continued to surpass expectations, totaling 178 saves including a career high 33 saves on April 27 against Mercyhurst for a close 10-9 Golden Lions victory. Bryan led Dowling to a fourth seed berth in the NYCAC Tournament and tallied a 14-9 win over Southampton College to advance to the semi-finals. His performance during the season earned him a place on the USILA All-America First Team as well as the All-NYCAC Second Team.
