INDIANAPOLIS, IND.-  The Dowling College baseball team continues their season as they earn an At Large bid into the NCAA Division II East Regional Tournament.  The Golden Lions (33-15) earn the No. 5 seed in the tournament and will face the No. 2 seeded Ravens of Franklin Pierce University (35-16).  Top seeded Southern New Hampshire University will play host of the tournament on their campus in Manchester, N.H.

The championship provides for eight regional sites hosting six teams.  All regionals are double-elimination tournaments and will be played May 15-18.  Regional champions will advance to the double-elimination championship finals May 24-31 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.  The finals will be hosted by the University of Mount Olive and the town of Cary, North Carolina.

Also earning spots in the tournament are No. 3 Wilmington University, No. 4 St. Thomas Aquinas College and No. 6 Felician College.

The Golden Lions faced the Ravens earlier this season splitting a four game series 2-2.  Dowling took the opening doubleheader with 2-1 and 1-0 wins before FPU took games three and four 3-2 and 10-4.
