Dowling College

Central Islip, NY-  Simona Bartkova of the Women's Basketball team has been named the ECC Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year alongside E.J. Dreyer of Molloy College for her academic success during her time as a Golden Lion.

Simona, who would be the first female athlete from Dowling to be named an ESPN/CoSIDA Scholar All-American, would earn numerous awards for her skills both on and off the court.  At the annual Dowling Awards Banquet, Bartkova would be named the Dowling Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Female Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year, and Women's Basketball MVP. 

Making the ECC Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll would be:
-Brandon Bergersen of the Men's Lacrosse team
-Justin Brooks of the Baseball team
-Rachael Goldstein of the Women's Lacrosse team
-Emily Slack of the Softball team
