Frank Intagliata (Franklin Square, NY) of the Baseball team has been named the Dowling College Athlete of the Week.
Intagliata began the 2010 season on a tear, recording 7 hits in his first 12 at-bats for a .583 batting average. Three of his hits were triples, leaving him two short of Dowling's single season record.
Intagliata also reach base three other times via two walks and a hit by pitch for a .667 on-base percentage out of the leadoff spot in the order. He also recorded one sacrifice bunt and one stolen bases in four games on the week.
Frank and the Golden Lions will be back in action Tuesday at home against Dominican before embarking on their annual trip to Florida later in the week.
