SIMMONS NAMED ECC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

Central Islip, NY- Connie Simmons of the Women's Basketball team has been named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for her contributions on the court.
Simmons helped the Golden Lions to a 1-1 week while averaging 11.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. She tallied 10 points on 80% shooting in just 12 minutes of play against Molloy then followed with a 13 point, 9 rebound performance against Mercy.
Simmons also added six assists and three steals on the week.
Connie currently ranks second on the team with 35 assists and 28 steals while tallying 152 points, good for fourth.
