Dowling College

Oakdale, NY - The Dowling College Women's Lacrosse team has been ranked No. 2 in Lacrosse Magazine's NCAA Division II Women's Preseason Poll.

The Golden Lions return 16 players to a team that finished 9-4 with wins over ranked Stonehill and Limestone teams in 2009. Six talented newcomers will also be added to the Dowling roster in 2010.

Dowling is joined in the poll by conference foe C.W. Post, who comes in at No. 6. Reigning National Champions, Adelphi University, takes home the top spot.

Dowling will look to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time in their three year history when they open their 2010 season on March 6 at Chestnut Hill.
