2006 DOWLING SOCCER TEAM NAMED TOP 10 LOCAL STORY OF THE DECADE

Oakdale, NY- The 2006 Dowling Men's Soccer team National Championship run was recently named one of the top 10 local soccer stories of the decade as announced by bigapplesoccer.com.
Dowling, led by forwards Morten Jensen and Guy-Roland Kpene, would go undefeated in 2006 with a 22-0-2 record. In their final game of the season at the NCAA DII National Championship, Jensen would connect in the 38th minute to give the Golden Lions a win and the school's first national championship title for any sport at Dowling. Dowling has been selected to the NCAA Tournament 11 times, having reached the National Championship final a second time in 2008.
