MEN'S TENNIS COMPETES IN ITA REGIONALS, 3 ADVANCE

  The Dowling Men's Tennis team began competition in the ITA Regional Championships this Friday, with 3 Golden Lions advancing to the next round. 

Dowling would have one player advance in the Men's A singles bracket as Saulo Gonzalez would defeat his opponent with a 6-4,6-4 final.  Viktor Kim and Eduardo Ribeiro would both fall in their first matches of the day, 6-1, 6-0 and 7-5, 6-2 respectively. 

In Men's A doubles, Kim and Gonzalez would win their first match with an 8-4 final but failed to advance to the next round after dropping their next match, 8-3. 

Kevin Lotito and Mike Sinclair would each have a bye in the first round of Men's B singles, but Lotito would fall 8-0 to 6th seeded Brian Rice while Sinclair would be defeated by 10th seeded Charlie Sherman, 8-0.  

Rounding off the day was Men's B doubles, with Eduardo Ribeiro and Mike Sinclair advancing to the second round after a first round bye, only to defeat their opponent, 8-5 to advance.
