WOMEN'S TENNIS WINS SECOND STRAIGHT

  The Dowling Women's Tennis team won their second straight match this Thursday as they went on to beat St. Thomas Aquinas College, 7-2.

After giving up 2 points at the beginning of the day due to being down one player, Dowling wouldn't see themselves in a hole for long as the day belonged to the Golden Lions.  Tamiris Diversi would have another dominant day on the court as she would defeat her opponent, 6-0, 6-1, in first slight singles.  Cristina Hoffman would have the same result, going 6-1, 6-2 against Kristen Schimpf of STAC in second flights. 
Diane Kobasiuk and Cristina Sousa would add two more points onto the board for Dowling, going 6-0, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-2 respectively in third and fourth flight singles. 

Alexa Speyer would see herself even with her opponent after two sets but would come out victorius after taking the third, 6-3. 

In doubles play, both pairs would once again play strong as Diversi and Hoffman would win 8-2 and Kobasiuk and Sousa would take a 8-4 victory. 

The Golden Lions are now 2-0 on the season in match play and will next face Molloy at home on Monday.
