DOWLING ATHLETICS ANNOUNCES NEW STAFF HIRINGS
Oakdale, NY-Dowling Athletics has announced two new staff members for the 2009 year. 

Tom
Thomas Lally
has been announced as the new Director of Equipment Operations.  Lally graduated with a masters in Sports Management from St. John's University in May.  Previously Lally was an Equipment Operations Assistant at St. John's University where he was responsible for servicing the equipment needs of coaches and student-athletes for 17 Division I teams. His duties included organizing and distributing team apparel, laundry service, and supervising 16 student-workers.  Lally also had a stint with Major League Baseball and the YMCA.  As an intern with MLB, he was a member of the Baseball Assistance Team where he coordinated the Annual Dinner with 1,200 attendees. As a unit leader with the YMCA he worked Summer Camps where he supervised eight camp counselors which included 80 children for eight weeks.     




Shannon
Shannon Fabian
has been elevated to full-time assistant coach, the first for Women's Lacrosse program.  Fabian started in 2007 as an assistant with the birth of the Women's Lacrosse team at Dowling College.  She brings a wealth of knowledge from her astounding playing career at C.W. Post University where she was the Female Athlete of the Year in 2007 and a member of the 2007 Women's Lacrosse National Championship team.  She is also in the NCAA record books for holding the single season (71 in 2006) and career (193) assists record in Division II Women's Lacrosse.  She holds a Bachelors of Science in Childhood Education with a concentration in Psychology from C.W. Post University.
