Men's Soccer advanced to the National Championshi game
Oakdale, NY-  After ranking 99th in the previous Leerfield Sports Directors' Cup Standings released on May 21, Dowling's successful spring season propelled them to the 72nd spot on the list of over 200 Division II schools.

After raking in 154 points from a fall season that saw the Dowling Volleyball team reach the NCAA Tournament for the 7th straight year and the Men's Soccer team reach the NCAA Championship Final, Dowling would lose some ground during the winter with both Basketball programs narrowly missing the NCAA post-season.

The spring season would see a huge turn-around for the Golden Lions as three teams went on to compete in NCAA Championship play.  The Dowling Softball team would earn 25 points for making an appearance in the NCAA Regionals while the Baseball team would reach the College World Series for the first time in program history, earning them a 4th place finish and 78 points in the process.  Men's Golf would also compete, earning 5 points for their placement.
