Men's Rowing competes in the Dowling Alumni Cup Regatta
Oakdale, NY- The Dowling Men's and Women's Rowing teams will hold their 4th annual Erg-A-Thon this Sunday, December 6th, on the Oakdale Rudolph Campus at the Curtin Student Center.
Starting at 10:00am, Co-ed teams of 5-6, including a team of coaches, will face off against each other in the 25,000 meter event to raise money for the program that will go towards travel costs throughout the year and the purchasing of new equipment.
As always, this event is open to "guest rowers" who would like to join a team and jump on the erg for as little or as much rowing as they want! About Dowling Rowing:
Over the past year, the Women's Rowing team was consistently ranked in the top 5 teams in Division II the nation and for the 2nd straight year received the recognition of having two student-athletes named to the CRCA All-American team. The Rowing team's success also extends to the classroom where the team GPA was above 3.1 for each team. The Men's team has also demonstrated much success over the past several years, winning at least one gold medal at the Dad Vail Regatta for 5 straight years.
