Dowling College

Cape Cod, MA - Senior forward Vanessa Moreira (Selden, NY) has been named 2009 ECAC Division II Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year. Moreira had 42 points on the season with 15 goals and 12 assists.

Lyndsey Bernardini, a freshman goalkeeper for West Chester University earns ECAC Division II Defensive and Rookie Player of the Year honors after an impressive collegiate debut. Bernardini finished the season with a .923 save percentage and a 0.23 goals against average. The freshman also recorded 15 shutouts.

Joining Moreira on the all-star team are junior Ivana Babic of C.W. Post, senior Taylor Hilinski of Mercyhurst Colege and junior Sarah Oswald of West Chester Univeristy. Babic recorded 10 goals and six assists for C.W. Post. Hilinski scored 14 goals and collected an assist in her final collegiate season. Oswald finished the year with 10 goals and 16 assists.

Graduate student Kate Collins (North Caldwell, NJ) of Dowling College, junior Margaret Porter of Dominican College and senior Emma Woolley of the University of Bridgeport each earned a spot on the 2009 ECAFC Division II Women's Soccer All-Star team as midfielders. Collins finished the season with three goals and eight assists. Porter finished the year with 17 goals and a pair of assists. Woolley recorded five goals and five assists.

Senior Caitlin Mullady of C.W. Post, junior Cindi Nickels of West Chester University and junior Jamie Schroter of Mercyhurst College each earned a spot on the 2009 ECAC Division II Women's Soccer All-Star team as defenders. Mullady and Nickels each had impressive years for their institutions while Schroter collected two goals and five assists.
