FOUR GOLDEN LIONS EARN ECC WEEKLY HONORS

Central Islip, NY - Harald Gundhus (Oslo, Norway) of the Men's Soccer team, Patrycja Klekotka (Siedice, Poland) of the Volleyball team, Alexis Parrotta (Centereach, NY) of the Women's Soccer team, and Jonathan Cuomo (Shirley, NY) of the Men's Cross Country team have all earned ECC weekly honors.



Harald Gundhus
Harald Gundhus was named ECC Rookie of the Week after notching the game winning goal to help Dowling secure a 2-1 victory against Mercy on Saturday. Gundhus scored off a free kick to put the Golden Lions on top, 2-1.
























Patrycja Klekotka
Patrycja Klekotka was named ECC Co-Player of the Week after recording a team high 43 kills on the week, including reaching double digits in 3 out of 4 matches. She put up 12 kills in Dowling's 5 game duel against New Haven and added 12 with three aces in Dowling's loss to Bridgeport. Klekotka also had an impressive 11 kill performance against No. 23 ranked Florida Southern. On the week she also recorded 12 service aces and pitched in on defense with 15 kills.



















Alexis Parrotta
Alexis Parrotta earned ECC Rookie of the Week honors for the third consecutive week. Parrotta recorded a goal in a 4-0 victory over Dominican to extend her streak of consecutive games with a goal to 8.
























MXC
Jonathon Cuomo was named the ECC Men's Runner of the Week after running the best race of his collegiate career on Sunday at the 6th Annual Highlander Invitational hosted by the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Cuomo was first of 121 runners to cross the finish line with an 8K time of 26:22:91. He helped the Golden Lions claim a 3rd place team finish on the day out of 14 schools.
